December 7, 1941, the “date which will live in infamy.”

Seventy-five years ago, on December 7, 1941 the skies over Pearl Harbor darkened with the horrors of war.

The attack lasted 110 minutes, claimed 2373 lives including 68 civilians and wounded another 1272 men and women.
The attack changed our lives and world history.

But the attack on Pearl Harbor did more than thrust our country into global conflict.
America awoke –

In that moment everything we stood for as a nation became clear.

We must Remember Pearl Harbor and the men and women who stepped forward to protect our freedom. Through Take Stock in Pearl Harbor, we’re asking for all people who remember WWII and the “date which will live in infamy” to help restore, enhance and advance these important national historic landmarks and vital visitor destinations.
